Whew!!! Hey Sunshines! Time to pause for another Whew Wednesday. Whew Wednesday is taking time to pause and reflect on where you are mentally, emotionally and physically in the middle of the week. Specifically, tuning in with yourself and doing a check-in. It’s about finding ways to detach yourself from yesterday's woes and generating a positive mindset for the rest of the week. I don’t know about you but come Wednesday, I’m DONE!
Story time: Sometimes your week is going smoothly then BOOM, something pops up and you feel defeated and thrown off. This week, I was left feeling very frustrated and unappreciated. I pride myself on always trying to do the right things. Even when you think you're crossing all your T's and dotting your I's, things can still fall through the cracks. I had to decide how I wanted to address this for the rest of MY day. I had other things on my “to do” list and it did NOT involve me sulking. Here’s what I am taking with me the rest of the week and what I am leaving behind:
GRACE - Allowing myself to not always have it together because we aren’t robots and things happen.
ACCOUNTABILITY - Taking responsibility for my part and not building a case to explain why something did or didn’t happen. Agree to disagree and move on. I have to look at the whole picture and how it affects those around me. When you know better you do better.
Leaving behind RESENTMENT - Sometimes we can feel misunderstood and feel like people aren't giving you the benefit of the doubt. I dealt with how I was feeling that moment instead of holding it in. I did what I thought was right, and took care of the things I felt were most important at the time. I have to keep it moving.
YOUR TURN How are you doing? What has your week been like so far? What’s going well? What was something that bothered you? How did you react or not react? What are you leaving behind and what are you taking with you into the rest of the week? What do you want the rest of YOUR week to look like? NOW: Take a few minutes and love on yourself. Take a deep breath. What would you say to a friend or family member who needed some encouragement? Pray, write it out, talk it out, or put it somewhere to stay encouraged the rest of the week. Maybe you need to do all those things. Remember you’ve overcome so much and guess what, this is no different!
“I FOCUS ON WHAT I CAN CONTROL & MAKE PEACE WITH WHAT I CAN’T”
Wishing nothing but great things for you as you finish out the remainder of your week.

YES!!!!! Searching for a new job definitely feels like starting over. Especially when you want the pay and fulfillment to line up 🙃🤪 it’s a big struggle! Keep the faith! I am a true believer that the right job will come along at the right time ❤️
This week at work for me has been rough. I feel like I should be like all the slackers because I'm still going above and beyond but I'm still feeling like the last one to cross the finish line without even getting a ribbon. But this blog definitely spoke to me and I will let it go and keep moving forward.
This week I've been really down because of my job search. Nothing sucks more than being in a job you don't like while actively searching for another. Every let down feels like defeat. None the less, I am going to keep pushing forward knowing that I will find something and soon be back on my road to happiness.
